Nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the Achaderry Farmhouse, built in 1859, is a perfect blend of historical charm and modern luxury, tailored to be inclusive and accessible. This meticulously restored farmhouse offers an enchanting self-catering experience, balancing the allure of its original features with state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
The farmhouse accommodates up to 10 people across 4 bedrooms, with three en-suite and a ground-floor bedroom designed for accessibility. The first-floor bathrooms feature large, relaxing baths, while the accessible ground-floor bathroom is equipped with a wide shower base, seat, grab rails, and other thoughtful amenities to cater to guests with mobility needs.
Our living areas exude traditional Scottish charm, complete with an open log fire and a 40″ TV with Sky HD+ Sport and Movies plus dedicated wifi at each property. The heart of the farmhouse is the always-on AGA in the kitchen, ideal for both cooking and gathering. For added convenience, we offer pre-arrival grocery delivery services.
Unique to Achaderry Farmhouse is our commitment to accessibility. From paved approaches and low-threshold doors to a ground floor bedroom with a mobile hoist, we ensure ease of access throughout. Additionally, we provide all-terrain and powered wheelchairs, allowing all guests to explore the scenic 400-acre surroundings.
While our indoor hot tub room is a highlight, offering breathtaking views and a relaxing space for up to 6 people, please note that it doesn’t have a lift. However, the wide steps ensure easier access.
At Achaderry Farmhouse, we strive to provide a memorable experience that combines the essence of a traditional Scottish retreat with the needs of modern, inclusive hospitality. Whether you’re seeking adventure in the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ or a peaceful getaway, our farmhouse is ready to welcome you with open arms and ensure your stay is not just a visit, but a cherished memory.
